SORRY AND PRIDE
We gave the name of our student Talha Ubeydullah BAŞ, whom we sent off to God as a result of a sea accident in the past months, to İLKSEÇ Foundation Science and Culture Education Center İLKEM library. Talha Ubeydullah BAŞ was only 16 years old and a 3rd grade student at İLKEM. The program organized in memory of our martyr student was attended by our İLKSEÇ Foundation Chairman of the Board Ali Ulvi UZUNLAR, our martyr student's family, loved ones, İLKSEÇ Foundation teachers and student friends. Speaking at the program that started with the recitation of the Holy Quran, our Foundation President Ali Ulvi UZUNLAR Hocaefendi addressed the guests and said; “Talha was the golden child of an extremely valuable family. He was also the apple of our eye, our child. His love and effort for science was admirable. Even though his absence makes us sad, the good news in the Hadith "He who drowns is a martyr" makes us proud as a teacher of martyrs. How happy it is that our child Talha has met his Lord as both a martyr, a Hafiz and a traveler on the path of knowledge. We entrusted it to the Most Trustworthy One, our Lord Almighty. May God Almighty make him a neighbor to his Beloved. “Amen,” he said. The program ended with the screening of a short film about the life of our martyr and the opening of the library. May our Lord Almighty grant our martyr a high place in heaven and a high rank. Amine.
