The İLKSEÇ Foundation Science and Culture Education Center (İLKEM) held its graduation ceremony for the Science of Recitation (Iqra'at)
The ceremony, where 38 students received their certificates, took place at the Hacı Ömer ÇETİNSAYA Mosque in Küçükçekmece. Attendees included Istanbul Governor Davut GÜL, Küçükçekmece District Governor Mustafa ANTEPLİOĞLU, Bayrampaşa District Governor Abdullah ÇİFTÇİ, Bayrampaşa Deputy Mayor İbrahim AKIN, Provincial Mufti Assoc. Prof. Dr. Emrullah TUNCEL, district muftis, district administrative officials, students, their parents, and citizens.
In the ceremony presided over by the Head of Qur'an Reciters, Mustafa DEMİRKAN, the Chief Imam of Hagia Sophia Grand Mosque, Ferruh MUŞTUER, the Imam of Beylerbeyi Abdullahağa Mosque, Ekrem ÖZTÜRK, the Imam of Hacı Ömer Çetinsaya Mosque, Ahmet ÖZYURT, and the Imam of Barbaros Hayrettin Paşa Mosque, Halil İbrahim BAŞ, recited verses from the Qur'an.
In his speech at the program, our Chairman of the Board of Directors of the İLKSEÇ Foundation, Ali Ulvi UZUNLAR Hocaefendi, quoted our Master (Efendi Hazretleri): “Scholars are like salt. People are like meat. If meat is not salted, it spoils. The scholars of the future are being trained here. Those who are People of the Quran are People of Allah. As the İLKSEÇ Foundation, we are training nearly 1,500 students, the scholars of the future. May our Lord Almighty be eternally pleased with those who support these services.”
At the end of the extremely fruitful program, various gifts were presented to the students who received their certificates.
The program concluded with prayers and refreshments.
